How to Find Time for Novel Writing
Novel writing takes time – and plenty of it. Okay, so it’s possible to write a new fiction book in under a year, but more likely it will take you two or three years, or even longer. In short, the creative process but I will not act with undue haste.
I have always believed, though, that we can all somehow find the time to do things if want to do them badly enough. And for me – I hope you also – one of my main priorities is the time to write novels. So how do we find time to write novels?
And what are the best ways to make use of this time?
First up, it is much better to write in short but regular stints than long and irregular ones. So, if you have only three or four hours a week working on your novel, try every day for 30 or 40 minutes – not to save a lot of Sundays. Here is why…
* If you write fiction every day, even for a very short period, it keeps whatever you are working on fresh in your mind – meaning you won’t have to spend very long getting “in the zone” again.
* Daily novels will be the effectiveness of your “creative writing muscles” in the best condition. Use it not only in the weekends and it will be weak and weak. (And yes, it really does exist!)
* Small doses of a lot of hard work more manageable and far less than the arduous marathon than a week.
Most importantly, when you sit down to work on your fiction novel, work on it! Checking your e-mails doesn’t count. There is no reorganization of stationery drawer, or dust your keyboard, or in 1001, we do other things, we should be in this difficult.
Of course, you do not have to in talking about Mr. White to the pages of prose. You might spend your novel writing time creating a character, or typing up yesterday’s handwritten draft, or doing some research. Just make sure you work on some aspect of your fiction novel download for the full time.
With practice, both lazy and hard work can become a habit.
