How to shine as a speaker and engage your audience

As a public speaker the one thing we all want is a never ending month full of high quality, great paying speaking engagements and our performance at each event we attend can lead on to more work if we manage to engage and entertain the right people.

Now, thanks to the power of the internet it is not just your last speaking engagement that can find you extra work, you have an opportunity to share your message with a much larger audience and to build a following of people who hang on your every word!

It is now easier than ever to share your message with other people online and it has also become harder to get that message heard. Easier in respect of being able to use all types of media like audio, video, social sites like Facebook and Twitter etc to get yourself out there but it is becoming harder because there are so many other voices in the same market.

So how do you ensure your voice is heard? By creating a powerful magnetic presence online that will ensure you are booked as a speaker, sell your products and get new clients.

Developing your magnetic presence

Mindset plays an important part in creating a magnetic persence. The one thing you don’t want to do is build yourself up based on some fake image that you then have to constantly live up to. It is essential that you remain true to who you are when presenting yourself.

It is also important that you avoid attaching yourself to the latest craze or buzz words. With all the divas, queens, mavens and maestros out there if your product changes so will your image!

Expressing your uniqueness is another way to allow your natural magnetic presence to shine through. We all have life experiences, things we have achieved and worked through that can inspire other people and expressing those experiences is a great way to build empathy with the people you want to connect with online.

When you allow your unique skills and experiences to shine through there is no pretending, no having to remember a lie, it is all natural and shared with only one intention – to empower.
